PLEASE READ BELOW FOR IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATES TO OUR PSYCHOTHERAPY SERVICES.
Prior to COVID-19, The Neuropsychology Center of St. Louis provided both in-person psychotherapy as well as virtual psychotherapy via various telehealth platforms. In March 2020 we discontinued our in-person psychotherapy offerings, though we continue to provide virtual psychotherapy via various telehealth platforms. As many of our patients may be unaccustomed to conducting health care via telehealth, we are happy to talk to you individually by phone to explain the process and answer any questions you have. If you are new to telehealth, some of the potential benefits of this modality of care include:
Decreased time required to conduct your session due the elimination of travel time to/from the office
The ability to access our services from outside of the greater St. Louis Metro region (we currently can serve patients in 39 different states. (To determine whether your state is a state where we conduct telehealth, visit the PSYPACT website here)
Decreased cost for gas/other transportation costs
Decreases exposure to public spaces in accordance with current guidelines for reducing exposure to COVID-19
Decreased mileage on your personal vehicle
The ability to engage in psychotherapy without the patient or provider wearing a mask
We offer therapy services for adolescents and adults for a variety of concerns including:
Depression
Anxiety
Adjustment
PTSD
Coping with medical diagnoses (e.g., diabetes, chronic pain, dysautonomias, etc.)
Sleep/ Insomnia
Grief and Bereavement
ADHD
Executive Functioning Interventions: We also offer both individual and group therapy options for individuals with ADHD and/or executive functioning deficits, with or without other co-occuring mental health concerns, who are seeking to learn behavioral strategies for managing their symptoms and improving their functioning.
Fees: We are considered out-of-network for all insurance providers and patients are responsible for paying their fees directly prior to each therapy session. Please contact us for our current rate schedule for psychotherapy services. Patients with health insurance are encouraged to contact their insurance carrier to determine whether they have out-of-network benefits as part of their insurance plan, and if so, the specific parameters of their out-of-network benefits (e.g., covered services, deductible, co-pays, co-insurance, etc.). We provide monthly invoices that include all of the information necessary for a patient to submit an out-of-network claim to their insurance carrier. The Neuropsychology Center of St. Louis will not bill your insurance on your behalf, and it is the sole responsibility of the patient to determine what (if any) coverage they have with their insurance carrier prior to initiating services.
