This is possible through the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) - an interstate compact designed to facilitate the practice of telepsychology across state boundaries. Currently, 13 states have signed legislation to join PSYPACT, 2 more have signed legislation that will go in to effect in 2021, and 16 more introduced legislation in 2020 that is pending, but has yet to be signed in to law. MARCH 22, 2020 UPDATE:
The Neuropsychology Center has been proud to be offer the majority of our services virtually through telehealth in the past, and now, due to COVID-19 and guidelines for health care providers to limit face-to-face appointments, we are pleased to continue offering these services to patients in order to ensure patient safety while also providing continuity of care. See below for additional details.
ASSESSMENT For patients seeking psychological assessments, we have the capability of conducting your assessment via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform utilizing measures that have been validated for use in telehealth modalities. We are currently working toward expanding our virtual assessment services for neuropsychological assessments as well. Because we receive referrals for a wide variety of assessments, please contact the office directly at (314) 324-3800, or via email at info@neuropsychologystl.com to have a member of the staff discuss your individual needs and determine whether we can perform your assessment without an in-person office visit.
PSYCHOTHERAPY For patients seeking psychotherapy, we have the capability of conducting psychotherapy via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. This offers the convenience of reducing travel time to and from our office. This can be especially beneficial for working individuals who cannot take leave from work in order to attend weekly sessions, or for individuals who are sheltering in place or self-quarantined who still would like to engage in psychotherapy for support. We are happy to talk with you in more detail about conducting psychotherapy via telehealth. Feel free to call us at (314) 324-3800, or send us an email at info@neuropsychologystl.com. For additional information about our psychotherapy offerings during the COVID-19 pandemic, visit our THERAPY page here.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and flexibility as we transition to increasing our use of telehealth services to continue delivering exceptional care.
